Wellness, Made Clearer: Reading Labels and Evaluating Claims

Wellness, Made Clearer. At VHC LAB, this means helping you understand what a product contains, how a serving is defined and where to find the details you need before choosing.

Start with the label

Read the Supplement Facts alongside the directions and Other Ingredients. A large number on the front of a bottle needs context: the ingredient it describes, the capsules in one serving and the number of servings in the bottle.

Our Magnesium Glycinate 500mg label guide explains why compound weight and elemental magnesium are different. Our Benfotiamine guide explains the amount per serving and capsule count.

Ask what a claim actually establishes

Research on an ingredient, laboratory testing of a sample and a clinical study of a finished product are different kinds of evidence. When comparing products, ask what was tested, which formula or batch the evidence concerns and what the results can reasonably tell you.

A claim about a professional's involvement should identify the person, relevant qualifications and role. A claim about clinical testing should be supported by the corresponding study. Those details matter more than a reassuring phrase on its own.

Choose with clear information

  • Compare amounts using the same serving size.
  • Check capsule material and the full ingredient list.
  • Read the label warnings before adding a product to your routine.
  • Ask for clarification when an amount or claim is unclear.

Where to go next

Browse the Wellness Guide for practical label explanations, or contact VHC LAB with the product name and your question. A label question can help clarify a purchase; personal treatment decisions belong with a qualified healthcare professional.
